Our approach to data protection

We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of anyone using our site and the confidentiality and security of any information that you provide us with.  The purpose of this statement is to set out how we use any data that we may obtain from you.

We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data. We have also undertaken a data audit to be compliant with GDPR regulations that became enforceable on 25th May 2018.

In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. The following three areas are ways that data is collected.

Google Analytics

When you visit this website, usage date is collected through MonsterInsights and Google Analytics. We collect information on browser language, country code, visiting URL, referring URL, IP address and timestamps of events. This allows us to see how you came to visit the website, what type of browser you use and the country you are located in. This information is used to provide insights on audience usage in order to better understand how people use the website.

Cookies are used to collect this data and the data received by Liagem keeps each user anonymous. You can read about MonsterInsights approach to data privacy here. We do not use other Google products and services in combination with Google Analytics cookies. Our Google Analytics settings are set to retain IP data collected from visitors for 14 months only after which time it is automatically deleted.

Contact form

When you submit a message to us via the Contact Form we ask you give consent to the website storing your submitted information by ticking a box. We collect your first name and last name (only when provided), your email address so that we can correspond with you and your message. Any message you send is treated confidentially and stored on our website server and in our email inbox for only as long as is necessary to deal with your query. This service is provided by the WPForms Lite plugin.

How we protect your data

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information online. We have enabled HTTPS on our website through an SSL certificate. This means any information you submit to us will be encrypted and therefore protects your data from hackers and identity thieves.

In addition, we will never sell data. We may disclose your personal information to third parties but only if we are under a legal duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with or meet any legal obligation.

Requesting access to/delete your data

You have the right to access the personal data in full that we keep about you on request without charge, and/or have that data deleted.
